After 49 years of serving clients and the community, almost entirely in Plymouth, I have retired from the practice of law.
Those years were filled with many personal and professional challenges and successes. I have been happily married to Gail (née Harju) for 57 years, and we were blessed with two beautiful children: James and Erin. Sadly, Erin passed away in 1996.
Most of my work focused on family law issues, but I also handled real estate and estate planning needs. I became the Chairperson (1987–1988) of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. I wrote many articles and gave many presentations before other attorneys and judges, wrote many plain language forms for use in the courts, and helped rewrite the initial spouse abuse and parenting time statutes.
I sincerely appreciate the trust placed in me by my clients, colleagues, friends, and family throughout my legal career. It has been a privilege to serve you.
Thank you for your support, confidence, and friendship over the years.
